Superwoman Vs Wonderwoman

Lagunya Mulan wonder woman lagi happening banget yah sekarang. gw nilai begitu soalnya mulai dari kontes nyanyi ibu-anak di stasiun TV swasta (adek gw demen bgt), pengamen di bus merak-jakarta, pengamen di pinggir jalan, bahkan ampe ada versi pop-dut nya (sayang ga sempet gw record).
Pendapat gw pribadi tentang lagu ini (bukan Mulannya loh..) hampir sama dengan kebanyakan lagu Indonesia sekarang, 'DANGKAL' banget..!!!
easy listening?, YES!!
melody/rhytm ?OK lah..
Meaningful? NO..!!!.
kenapa gw bilang ga meaningful, liat aja lirik lagunya shallow, lagunya ga bercerita dengan 'manis' , malah cenderung (sorry) murahan..

[Movie Review] August Rush (2007); Another urban fairytale...

I finally watching this movie, although i've already bought this DVD 4 months ago. At first, i don't expect much from this film but the more i spent time watching it the more i fallen into. This movie tell us a story about a "lost" child (Evan/August), whose believe that he can be reunited and communicate with his parent through the music that can be heard only by him. Sounds like fairytale right? The acting was superb and the music was amazing. There's not much dialogue in this movie, the story was told mainly trough emotional expressions of the actors and of course via the music (itself).

Robin williams plays great as Wizard the street performer who takes evan under his wing. Apparently, Freddie Highmore, Keri Russell, Jonathan Rhys Meyers learned most of the songs and played/sang them themselves, which is very impressive once you see the movie. I specially love Highmore whose plays the guitar in an unusual slap-harmonics style, totally fallen for him (kewl..). Basically this movie rely on our imagination, on your faith in fairytale, so..you just have let your imagination flew away and you'll gonna love it. For me? I totally enjoyed this movie!!!
